چکیده

Many applications of computer vision require interpreting incomplete or noisy image data in environments where complete models are impractical. This paper presents a unified representation for image understanding that includes generic models of both objects and sensors. This representation is ideal for combining knowledge from multiple sources, taking advantage of available information without knowing in advance which information will be provided.

Evaluation of the Humanity Research Paradigms based on Analysis of Human – Environment Interaction

As claimed by many behavioral scientists, designing should be based on the knowledge of interaction between human and environment. Environmental quality is also created in the context in which humans interact with their environment. To achieve such quality, designers should develop appropriate models for explaining this relationship, and this requires an understanding of human nature and the en...

A Generic Analysis of the conclusion section of Research Articles in the field of sociology: A Comparative study

This paper reported on a genre-driven comparative study, which aimed to identify the generic moves in the conclusion sections of twenty research articles in the field of sociology written in the two codes of Persian and English. To meet this purpose, the researchers employed Moritz, Meurer, and Dellagnelo's model, which was set within the Swalesian framework of genre analysis. The analysis was ...

فشرده‌سازی تصویر با کمک حذف و کدگذاری هوشمندانه اطلاعات تصویر و بازسازی آن با استفاده از الگوریتم های ترمیم تصویر

Compression can be done by lossy or lossless methods. The lossy methods have been used more widely than the lossless compression. Although, many methods for image compression have been proposed yet, the methods using intelligent skipping proper to the visual models has not been considered in the literature. Image inpainting refers to the application of sophisticated algorithms to replace lost o...

Interpreting Line Drawing Images: A Knowledge Level Perspective

Image understanding systems rely heavily on a priori knowledge of their application domain, often exploiting techniques developed in the wider field of knowledge-based systems (KBSs). Despite attempts, typified by the KADS/CommonKADS projects, to develop structured knowledge engineering approaches to KBS development, those working in image understanding continue to employ unstructured 1 generat...
